I guess no. WotLK still uses the same UV layout for all non-hardcoded textures.

Yeah, extra 16 bit per each particle. It does not touch this part.

Great that you figured it out. We are not closing threads this way though. I actually only close when the thread is too important to be flamed, can potentially cause flame, full of off-topic or contains a pointless conflict. Solved threads do no get closed, at least by me.

It is fine. I don't remember the correct forwarding (guess for WoW it is probably -Y forward). But anyway it should get displayed. What converter do you use? If MirrorMachineQT, what are the settings?
-
I guess you need to do something more than just use the converter. Converting creatures seems to be a lot harder. I think you should ask Mr.Farrarie. He knows a lot about retroporting.

Using .ADTs edited with noggit and convered for WoD?

I tried and it didn't work. But I'm not 100% sure if I resaved the adts properly. http://pastebin.com/uG4a2JiB Execute this script on these .ADTs using 010 Editor. Your problem is related to MFBO chunk of an .ADT file which is the world's ceiling/bottom. Invisible plane that causes those effects when you cross it. You will also need the attached ADT template for the script to work. WoWADT.bt -

I don't like closing threads. Maybe someone will have similar issues later. Who knows.

This a small collection of various alphamapping templates that I gathered over the years of doing WoW modding. This release includes mountain templates from different zones, tileable ground (grass) templates and some other things. Here I will explain more specifically: Tileable Mountain Range.psd contains an interesting set of alphamaps ripped from Hyjal (3.3.5a version). They consist of fragments which you can combine in order to create endless tileable ranges of mountains. Blizzard also used this technique up to TBC, so there is not really much shame to be repetitive at that point.Eversong.psd contains the entire Eversong Woods zone mountains exported. Use it freely for getting mountain patterns for your zones.Howling Fjord Mountains.psd contains a huge mountain template ripped from Howling Fjord. Actually, it is not particularly blizzlike as I combined two mountains from Howling Fjord into a huge one, as I needed for my project. This template works out better with snowy texture scheme, but can also look good with grass (will actually look like Scottish Highlands). Various Mountains.psd is a collection of different alphamapping templates ripped from some WoW zones. There are Hyjal templates, Darkmoonfaire templates. I don't know where I got this from but I am glad to share it.Corrupted Island.psd contains a custom alphamap based on Lost Isles template. It was created by Axel when we worked on a project together. It may actually be useful for creating volcanic and corrupted zones. Maybe something Legion or Outland themed.Grass:Durotar.png is a tileable version of Durotar dirt pattern.Elwynn_Forest is the most generic alphamap that doesn to always look good but sometimes it comes in handy and useful. Also tileable.Emerald Dream (2 layers) is a 2-layered alpahamap replicating the patterns from old Emerald Dream maps. Those fields with gigantic flowers is what I am talking about. Tileable.Eversong Woods.png is a grass higlight template ripped from Eversong. This is actually my favourite template as it provides one of the smoothest grass patterns in the game. Though, there is one thing about it. It can only be used on top of a permanent (zero) layer of your ADT, cololored in dark grass, as it is a highlight layer. Otherwise, it won't look good. Tileable.Lost Isles.png is a tileable grass template I ripped ages ago from Lost Isles. It is very weird but maybe someone will find a use out of it.If someone is wondering how to use it and what for: Click -

I have recently came across a really useful resource created by merfed. Basically it contains almost all the tools that exist in WoW modding scene so far, so you can quickly get them. There are also a bunch of various tutorials and guides there. The description by merfed: -
I can't really help you with retro porting mop+ adts to Cata. But for 3.3.5a ADTs PhilipTNG's converter will do the job.

Machinima Studio exports every wmo group as a separate .OBJ file. The mass .OBJ import script brings all the pieces together in one scene.
-
I failed on that. Use Machinima Studio, definitely works. I could also share the model with you, but it is on my old laptop and is a bit problematic to get it out now.

Hey! You can try out things that I do on this video in order to slice the original Lordaeron model in pieces or edit the model. I just have no time for that at the moment. Basically this is some video I made in summer to show how to export WMOs from WoW. The only thing that would be different for you is that you would need Machinima Studio to export Lordaeron model. And mass import script to recover the model in your Blender.
