I can pass you the tools for reversing listfile for WotLk, but you will need to update it to Legion DB2 and such. Nothing really complicated yet.

I have seen people also using hg repositories for that, though it requires a server. Though, that's pretty good for version control, I guess. I personally used Google Drive back in time.

Where did you get the template?

It means you have improper WoWADT.bt somewhere. Most likely in your documents folder.

Just run the script by itself. Not template, and not script on the file. Just script on (none). I do not make half-finished scripts that are getting run on the file directly. I always make an opening dialogue window asking you to select either files or specify a directory.

The installed template is wrong. It should be in your documents folder, in Sweetscape directory.

Exactly what is said here. Though, this can be done in an automated way using 010 editor scripts. What you need to do is to rewrite the mentioned chunks in the file. I suggest reading it first somewhere, modifying it with your functions, calculating delta size and moving all futher offsets accordingly, inserting the new data instead of the new one.
