Davy Jones

Hey!

I want to create a "Davy Jones" model merging the sea vrykul (without the hair and the beard), Merciless one, a pirate hat the crab weapon and the pirate captain models kind of like that:

Unfortunately, I'm worse than an absolute zero in modelling and I couldn't even convert an edited m2i to m2 because of some crash.

If you do not fear death, please help.

p.s. If you know a better way of making captain calamari, I'm open for suggestions.

Ughh. I see you are doing some Pirates of The Caribbean thing. You know what... Davy Jones as far as I remember from the movie walks really peculiar because of the wooden leg (he has one, right?). And all those crab claws and tentacles. You know what, have a look at Faceless or whatever they are called in English WoW (Безликие) but even if the skeleton fits tentacles and crab claws, the missing leg will still be a problem. I remember there was a good series of pirate themed games - Corsairs made by some Russian studio. I actually played them long ago and I remember there was a fan-made mod dedicated to Pirates of the Carribbean setting with pretty good Davy Jones model. So, maybe you will find a way to convert it to Warcraft III .MDX and then to .M2.

Yeah, he has the crab leg as I've drawn

have a look at Faceless or whatever they are called in English WoW (Безликие) but even if the skeleton fits tentacles and crab claws, the missing leg will still be a problem

They are too unhuman for Jones. Besides, they walk properly. The only lame model I know is Gul'dan, but he still walks differently. Anyway, the proper walking animation is the least I care about.

I can't help you much with the rest. If you don't find anything suitable in WoW, I suggest again looking at those Pirates of the Carribbean Corsairs mods. Also I have just realized that Davy Jones full name is probably Dave O.o

What I showed in the picture above is quite suitable imo, I just don't know how to merge the models properly, since I have no modelling experience and my arms grow from my ass.

Everyone in the film just calls him Jones. His full name must be either David or just Davy.

Your problem is rigging the model you can make out of pieces of those creatures. The issue is that you can't merge animations from different parts of the body. You have to use an entire skeleton from a model. Just one set of animations available in one particular model. Modelling itself just requires fucking around in Blender or any other tool you prefer.

Well.. The pirate coat, the crab leg, the pirate hat and, ok, the crab claw are just static and do not need any animation. I would like the squidface to just use it's default standing animation though, if possible.

Well this one looks easly to do - just to have time to mess up with it

No idea what you are asking for ? 
M2 redux just make M2i with mesh datas from M2

and then M2i mesh datas + original m2 will lead to result of new m2

Now that I fixed my stupidity of which I am ashamed to speak,  I have the two following problems:

1) I had to merge everything into two meshes (one for the body and one for hands), because that's how the original file was and otherwise what wasn't merged into the original mesh would disappear on convertion. However, I need to use three different blps: one for the body, one for hands and one for the head. The .m2 only contains a "slot" for one:
