lululalaland
So. Since i know i am not the only one here looking for a way to get back the old racial attack animations for Humans and BloodElfs ... at least in my case. The problem with those is that the old racial special attacks have either been changed or completely removed. In addition to that we found out that editing SpellxSpellvisual.db2 with barnacles wdbx editor works to change spells back. Nethertheless some old animations cannot be brought back this way since as i have already mentioned they were removed or changed. As I have been messing around with casc the past few days and changing the models of Humans and BloodElfs I was able to find creatures who still posses the old animations. For example: HuM_Garrison_A_Guard & all Arthas models do have the old attack animations for Human male. HuF_Garrison_A_Archer for Human female. FELELFWARRIORMALE for Blood Elf Males. But the problem is not solved yet since using their .m2 files completely changes the look of your character. Armor aswell (except for shoulders... you can see your own shoulders which is strange). As you might have guessed im kinda lost at this point as i am missing further knowledge to "extract" these animations to import them into the normal models. So I hoped that some of you out there who are modding Legion aswell, might help me.
Смердокрыл
Can't you just replace the .anim files of the character models with the .anim files with those models you named? Renaming the files accordingly, of course or not

wungasaurus
.anim files are raw data referenced from the model itself. In all the time of there existence i have yet to see someone swapping two files without shit going bonkers.

I thought about porting forward the wod models to legion might help ... but they are different and i have no clue how to make them usable in legion.
