Convert Demonhunter to Wotlk/Cata

By Darkkang

Hello again! Sorry for many questions. But I'm making a lot of progress converting objects and maps.

Any way to pass the Demonhunter as a race?
If not, can Demonhunter horns and bands be added as items without the need for 3D modeling?

I have found the DemonhunterGeosets files and their textures, but they do not exist in the DBC. It would be very useful for everyone.
Thank you.4e86bdf73626ed23293578677742a4ed.thumb.p

The problem is, since Legion, characters have 8 features :

Skin color, face, hairs type, hairs color, facial feature / beard / other AND DH Horns, DH Helmet, DH tatoos

A way to retroport to 3.3.5 / Cata, is probably to rename the geoset of horns helmet, tatoos for being compatible in the fifth feature.

Can you create them as separate items? For example, Sales and / or horns apart as items.
The paintings or tattoos, it is easy to implant them in the creation of characters, but the important thing is the bandages and the horns mainly.

Thank you.

I wanted to try with these geosets "Collections" that already come as items.
For 3d it is difficult, however Blizz may use objects for NPCs and / or others.

Here below I add geosets and the lines of ItemDisplayinfo.dbc that I created, But a blue cube comes out and the textures do not work. Would anyone know?

So ... I create a spell that connects to the displayinfo of the helmet, or do I make a spell for each object?

Do you've to do something with the model or work as it is?

Does the Displayinfo work from above?

And what should I search on that youtube channel?
Sorry for many questions.
Thank you.

There are many ways to achieve this. For the tattoos, you can add them as shirts, or paste them to every skin file and duplicate the texture. For the horns you can add a transparent texture as extra skin texture only visible with the DH skins, or add them as spells (but it won't be vissible in the character selection screen). Creating new helmets with the horn models is also a possibility but it can turn off certain hairstyles. The problem is that you need an advanced level of 3D modeling and DBC editing.

The method to make new 3D attachments is the same as adding 3D belts to wotlk (it starts around "23:50"):

However, in the 8th column you must put the flag "0x100000" or the spell will disappear when your character dies.

(Por cierto, te recomiendo activar Windows :P)

Hi and thanks.
The DBC and DB part is created, I have it as a spell and as an item.

The problem is the 3D part, as I see tutorials, my level of spoken English is very bad and the process is very complex xD

Could anyone add the geosets to the Elf models in Hd for Wotlk or cataclysm? I can share the models if you want.

If you help me, I upload the entire patch with the Demonhunters and I'm sure everyone wants to have it: P

Thanks for everything!

Hello! We added the Demonhunter geoset as you said :)
The problem is that the hands do not show textures (We did UV-Map)
We also have the problem that there are all the horns and bandages.

We have tried adding the hands to the male Nelf model and it doesn't work, we have also tried deleting geosets in blender but then it doesn't export m2.

What can be the solution? Thank you.

- Down the photos from demonhunter geoset with all the horns and hands without textures (coordinates aren't a problem), also a photo of the 010editor texture of the hands not hardcoded and lastly testing the hands added to the models by blender
