Free server hosting

Hey!

I'm desperately trying to find a hosting where I could store the mysql dbses. It doesn't even have to allow website creation and stuff - I just want to stop using fucking hamachi and shitty evolve. So far, any hosting that I've tryed - my authserver wouldn't connect to the database (probably because they dont allow external mysql access for fucking security reasons).

Please help!

or not

If you are going to do their own project without a server, even free (never seen before) server, can not help you, sorry.

Join to one of the existing projects, or find a guys who want to do some stuff, and can pay for this, like private servers in Russia or EU\NA.

VPS which can hold server for about 100-200 players online costs about 15-20€/month, maybe even less, depending a lot on where you want to rent it. I am quite sure you won't find anyone who would let you work on his server for free, and if you will be able to find anyone, he most likely won't give you enough permissions to actually really be able to work with your server. I knew a few servers which were running like this and their admins complained all the time because they couldn't do anything without owners of servers, which were sometimes pretty hard to find online and willing to give them a few damned minutes of their time.

Thats czech provider, obviously. I have absolutely 0 experience with foreign providers, as there was no need for me to ever buy server elsewhere.

I don't mind a provider in Russia, if you can recommend one. However, I'd like to know what are the requirements/recommended parameters for a wow server hosting (disk space/ram/platform/etc.)?

or not

I am czech. And people ignorant enough to call me russian are usually from USA, and I hate when they do so, as communistic times turned this into insult for me. But I know you probably just misremembered something, so its OK. Yes, provider I know is from czech, so not very suitable for hosting russian server - unneccessarily high ping time.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend. I haven't communicated with you in any language other than english (on this forum), so I just confused you with some russian user.

So, could you recommend some

That depends, a lot, on amount of players you are expecting, also on size of your world (or more importantly amount of server-side content - gameobjects, NPCs and so on). My configuration which worked more than fine for 100 players online in a single zone without any issues was following:

60GB SSD
2x 1.7GHz Xeon CPU core
8GB RAM

Note that 60GB of disc space is waaay more than you would ever possibly need to use. OS, TC, DB and regular backups can fit into 30GB, as long as your DB isn't really very large and you aren't keeping really lot of backups without clearing very old ones. RAM and CPUs were also handling themselves rather well and I wouldn't be surprised if this configuration was enough even for 200 players. But 100 were max I ever tested.

Principliablity, i dont use free hosting - they has no support, no varranty of saving date, have a high latency and wild overselling))

Only for around 250rub in month, you can rent VDS with 1 cores, 1Gb RAM, and 20GB SSD Drive. Anytime you can increase number of cores\memory.

Lately i use ihor.ru - they have balanced cost, responsive support, flexible VDS configuration, and placed in Msk.

Also you can rent VPN and make port forwarding to your PC\Virtual PC with configured WoW servers.

For 100 pl, you needed at least 2 Cores. For build TrinityCore - 2Gb RAM(withot RAM drive, which increase building progress more that 10 times)
